A Reminder to Parents: Your Role in Education
I want to remind you, parents: even if you don't homeschool your kids in a traditional setting, you are still responsible for their education. It’s your duty to teach them about life and to help them become accountable, productive, and kind individuals.
I recently read an article about a study that examined behavior in classrooms before and after the pandemic.

The findings highlighted a significant decline in social skills and classroom awareness. Many students struggle to behave appropriately in classroom, professional, and workplace settings. We're seeing disruptions, tantrums, and disrespectful behavior becoming more common.
This has led to a noticeable exodus of teachers leaving the profession, frustrated by these behavioral issues. It's crucial for parents to step up and ensure our kids understand the importance of respect and responsibility.
As a former teacher and now a homeschool mom, I can tell you that leaving the classroom to homeschool my kids was the best decision I ever made. It was challenging, but incredibly rewarding.
Remember, even if you're not homeschooling your kids, it’s your responsibility to support, coach, and train them to be amazing humans—kind, gentle, respectful, and great team players. These qualities are not just the teacher's job; they start at home.
