How is homeschooling upper grades, middle school and high school, different than lower grades? What do we do in Virginia?

🤯🤯 what is it like homeschooling middle school and high school kids?

. . In Virginia, where we are, there are no grades required, no hours required and no curriculum required.

So we are privileged to be able to base it off of what the kids interest are and what is happening around the local area for typical learning goals

we are only required to have one end of year evaluation, so my kids are free to learn at their own pace and have creative resources like virtual apps, games, YouTube channels, documentaries, in person, textbooks and workbooks from local bookstores, and of course, tons of reading resources from our local library.
