🤯🤯I was with a 13 year old this week- trying to add up the cost of slurpees, so I used my fingers to do some simple math… he told me that he wasn’t supposed to use his fingers to do math- what????
✅✅Fingers have been used for math for hundreds of years- there are entire math competitions in India where kids do several rounds of mental math using their fingers as an “abacus”
Stop 🛑🛑 telling kids that they can’t use their hands to do math!
